Welcome to the Shoals Area Toys For Tots Campaign
Get Involved / Volunteer

We always welcome hard working volunteers. Those of us who have volunteered through the years have become like family, helping family.

Volunteer jobs include:

Signing up families to receive toys. Usually a 4 hour shift either in the morning (9 am to 1 pm) or afternoon (1-5 pm) Mostly sitting

Warehouse work - intaking toys, processing and sorting and putting on the shelves. - Mostly standing and walking but lifting is not too heavy. This is done as the toys come in so is at random times throughout November and December

Toy Distribution - Volunteers help with parking - this is outside and can be cold; processing the parent/guardian in - sitting; help the parents shop - some walking and standing; help "check-out" the parents with the toys (counting and bagging up) mostly standing but time to rest in between; and helping the parents with big families or gifts get their gifts to the car. - Good job for younger volunteers!  Most of the volunteers are retired and have done most of these jobs with out difficulty. You can help where you want and feel capable. Getting to help the families and hear their stories is heartwarming and fulfilling!
